do an lspci and verify what you have.. It sounds like you also have another
framebuffer device ( try setting your X config to fb1)

Subject: [mythtv-users] More PVR350 and X problems

I´ve been following some of the recent threads regarding PVR350´s and
X, but alas my situation didn´t appear to be covered!!

I´m running Linux 2.4.22-1.2199.nptl_52.rhfc1.at using Axel´s RPMs and
ivtv 0.1.10pre2-ck104f (although I role back to thr 1.9 release and
  get the same result!).

I can capture video fine with the 350. The test pattern displays fine,
and if I fire up Myth it can use the 350s encoder to display a channel
signal and change channels fine, sothere are no probems with the 350
  capturing or displaying.

The problem starts when I try and boot with fb0 as the X display. All
that happens is that I get a screen with a white cursor (it moves
around the screen but nothing happens) and the following output occurs
 in the XFree86.log file:

(EE) open /dev/fb0: No such device
(EE) No devices detected.

Fatal server error:
no screens found

As I say fb0 is available and appears to work for Myth/test pattern
but I can´t get things sorted with this card (I´ve had X working with
another 350 a while ago using exactly the same XF86Config file). I´ve
set the TV to auto standard so it accepts any signal (NTSC, PAL and
SECAM) so this isn´t a standards issue!

  I´ve posted my XFree86.log, modules.conf, dmesg.txt (when I fire up
normally without using fb0 as a display device .. not sure how to
capture it for when I do try to use fb0 as an X display!) and
  XF86Config at the following URL:

  http://htweedie.fastmail.fm

Appreciate if anybody could help with this, as it appears to be the
last piece in the puzzle (well apart from integrating the PVR250 in
  :-)

Thx .. if you´ve any queries please give me a yell!!
