[mythtv-users] Stutter with a P3 933Mhz! Gezzz - more STUTTER!

Well - after upgrading my P3 500Mhz CPU to a P3 933Mhz the stutter is better while playing live NTSC TV - but it's still there during live-tv. I have to hit "p" (pause) and then un-pause it to remove all stutter.

What is the min footprint for a MythTV frontend???? My other myth box is a front/backend combo with a PVR-250 and a pcHDTV card and I don't seem to have a stutter problem with it (P4 2.6G HT CPU).

I've tweaked everything I can think of:

- I've re-niced the mythtv process and the X process like others have done
- I've checked with TOP and it's not a memory issue (running 256M and not using SWAP at all)
- I've compiled with -march=pentium3

Have I missed anything? Is a P3 just not capabile of being a frontend?

Here are the details:

Frontend/Backend combo:
- P4 2.6G HT (512M)
- nVidia FX5500
- PVR-250
- pcHDTV
- Latest CK's IVTV driver
- Latest CVS of MythTV
- 100Mbps NIC

Frontend:
- P3 933M (256M)
- some old nVidia card (AGP card)
- Latest CVS of MythTV)
- 100Mbps NIC

Network:
- 100M switch
