I helped set up a fresh(ish) FC3 box today, had zero problems getting lirc to 
work after adding a udev rule.

In /etc/udev/rules.d/lirc.rules:
KERNEL="lirc0",        SYMLINK="lirc"

The 350's output can't do anything but 720x480 (for ntsc, 720x576 for pal), 
and there's no control of overscan. That's as good as it gets right now.
