unionfs is in the 2.6 kernel series, right?  So you should be able
to do something like
	mount -t unionfs -o dir=/data/video:/extra/video none /combined
and have it all appear under /combined.

I have neither experience nor hardware to experiment with unionfs,
but someone with the means and motive can delve deeper.  The following
