[mythtv-users] Does this sound like a hardware issue?

When I try to change channels, all I get is channel 4. It thinks about
letting me change channels, but I always end up the same one, and the
program guide in the OSD is several days old, which make me question the
integrity of the program table. To make sure things are current, I ran
mythfilldatabase, and got a bunch of nuggets like this:

Driver error was [2/2013]:

In /var/log/mysql, I see a number of "mysqld got signal 11" messages and
some backtrace dumps, which I can't follow, as the MySQL rpms for FC3
have apparently been stripped.

At any rate, all of this is running on a Western Digital drive, which
makes me question hardware integrity, as I've watched on WD drive after
another die. I wanted to make sure my assessment was correct, though,
before I ran out and bought a Samsung (of which I've heard good things)
to replace this piece of junk.

Has anyone else seen errors like this?
