[mythtv-users] Lirc not working with PVR-250

I'm running KnoppMyth R4V5, and can't get even a twitch from the
remote. I can see it is emitting IR using my camcorder. I can
occasionally get output by using 'hexdump /dev/lirc' and pressing
remote buttons repeatedly. Can't get irw to print anything, just sits
there. Ran lircmd, no response to the remote in X. I have the grey
Hauppauge! remote. The number buttons are at the bottom, as are the
colored buttons.
I'm about to jump into recompiling lirc, but not sure if that will
help. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
