[mythtv-users] How stable is your myth setup?

Mine had been very stable and had achieved high WAF. The only quirks were
my Linksys WUSB 2.5 and audio w/ my BT878 card. The PVR250 now appears to
bomb w/o an identified provocation and the database seems perpetually
screwed up despite valiant efforts to repair it. The two could be related.

The only changes to occur between my life of stability and my current 2
weeks of downtime are:
* Uncontrolled shutdowns as the result of various crashes and babysitters
* Trial of MythWeb, which seems to bring my system down when selecting a
show to record
* An attempt to add my first remote frontend
*  Addition of samba

I'm running RH9 w/ kernel 2.4.20-8 w/ everything installed as a binary (e.g.
Myth from RPMs) except the IVTV drivers which I compiled (I didn't want to
go down the path of fiddling with the brittle WUSB 2.5 drivers).

I'm at the point at which I may delete some of the accumulated 150G of shows
and nuvexport the rest. Then I'll nuke the HD and start over.
