You know, I'm not really sure... I just vaguely recall reading something about
it ages ago when reading about the L5 bridge hack. I seem to recall seeing
something in the retail packaging also, but I tossed that long ago...

Nah, the possible savings weren't really worth the risk in my case either.

Ack, didn't read that carefully enough, and/or wasn't entirely thinking when
replying. No, I wouldn't call a $600 redundant PSU "budget" either. I think I
was thinking more in general, I think. ;-p
