hmmm you might need to specify the device on the command line though it 
should default to /dev/video0.  Are your ivtv drivers loaded when you 
try this?  What does "test_ioctl -a" say?

I'm currently using 22037 for my firmware which has cleared all of my 
stability issues it might help with your problem...
