I have seen the same thing as Lance has seen wrt the positioning of the preview in the EPG. While I don't have a solution, I do have some observations. My experience is with an EPIA M10000 but I don't know if that's related or not. Basically, I saw vertical offsetting of the preview at certain resolutions. 640x480 and 1024x768 are okay but 800x600 is affected significantly. Additionally, at 800x600, when I watch TV or any recording the image is also offset such that the top part is not viewable. Adjusting the offset settings for overscan in MythTV playback didn't improve the situation but the overscan percentages themselves did increase the image size. I don't suspect MythTV to be the culprit here, as xine exhibits the same behavior so it is likely an X display issue.
Lance, you might want to try a different resolution just to see if that changes anything.
