I've got an internal media player almost finished for Myth that uses
xine-lib. I've got just to hook up the OSD stuff and wrap up a couple
loose ends and I'll be submitting a patch. Once the OSD is hooked up,
watching a DVD / video file will be present the same experience from the
user perspective.

The way I've got it plugged in to MythVideo currently you have it set up
as your default by either not specifying a movie viewer, or by
explicitly specifying "internal" as the player. Same for the extensions
and individual files.

I'd hoped to do the OSD tonight but I've been futzing around the house.
I'll get started on it in the morning, expect a patch this weekend I
imagine.
