Hmm... looks good to me.  Personally, I leave out the 'pre-remove' line,
so that I always have a good config when I start up even if myth,
mplayer, xine, or ogle decide to mess with the alsa settings...

To test OSS emulation, use mplayer or mpg321 with an OSS output device. 
See which works, then put that into mythtv...
