[mythtv-users] mythvideo fails to start mplayer

i am trying to set-up mythvideo to correctly play
video files.  every time I try to have mythvideo
launch mplayer it simply hangs there I haveto manually
switch to a VT and kill the X server to stop
everything.  when I use mythtv %s instead of mlpayer
it works (except for seeking causes it to hang)

mplayer works fine outside of mythvideo....


is there any solutions?
