ignore my last email.
apt was being weird and wouldn't install myth-suite. it is working now.

now my problem has to do with mythfilldatabase. it won't grab the
channel listings from DataDirect.

[neal_d at linux .mythtv]$ mythfilldatabase
QDateTime::fromString: Parameter out of range
Grabbing XMLTV data using datadirect is not verified as working.

any way to get around this?
