Sorry for not checking in for about a month, but I have good news...I 
have an assembled prototype of the USB combined LCD/IR board.  I also 
have the LCD side of the firmware almost completed.  Everything seems to 
be running great!  I'll be tackling the IR transceiver side of the 
firmware starting this weekend.  I'll have some pictures available on my 
web page sometime tomorrow.
