This isn't going to help you much, but my production Myth box runs 2.6.4
(2.6.6 as of a few minutes ago) just fine. 2.6.6 has DVB and ALSA
integrated which makes it a bit easier to manage.
Might be hardware-specific. I'm using a GF4 440MX, and two DVB cards for
input.
