These are not the kernel modules (these are under /lib/module/)

If you installed the ATrpms rpms, you should have the following on
your modules.conf:

# nvidia kernel module
alias char-major-195 nvidia-1.0-4363

which makes every access to the nvidia devices to load the module.

If you are missing this lines run

/usr/sbin/nvidia-graphics-switch 4363

This is called upon installation of
nvidia-graphics4363-1.0_4363-54.rhfc1.at.

Perhaps yum pulled the packages in the wrong order (userland
installed before kernel modules?)
