[mythtv-users] back trace my mythtv problem?

I am having problems with Myth .15.  I upgraded with apt-get as per Jarod's instructions. 

Now I can't watch tv nor does my system record.  All I get is a blank screen.  If I check the console I see:

prebuffering pause repeats indefinatly.

I wanted to run a backtrace to see if it would tell me anything but I don't know how.  I searched google and mythtv.org but couldn't find directions as to how to do it.
