Jarod,

Thanks for the feedback after looking at the LIRC's FAQ I found this I
*should* have looked there first I guess. :(

I can't compile LIRC for 2.6 kernels.

2.6 kernels are not fully supported yet. But most drivers should work when
you use the CVS version of LIRC. If you experience 2.6 related problems
with the CVS version please report them on the mailing list.
