You cannot have a stable system with the nvidia drivers and the
shipped FC2 kernel until nvidia releases a new driver with support for
4kstacks. There are kernels by linuxant [1] that will allow you to run
nvidia drivers.

For lirc just get http://atrpms.net/name/lirc-experimental/. Unless
you have mceusb, in which case you simply can't have it working with
2.6.x yet.
