i added a zalman fanmate
i also changed the fan around to suck air into the case
no change in noise doing that - but with so many holes on the top of the case
i felt that pulling cold air into the case was going to be more successful
that trying to suck hot air out of the case
i believe this has reduced the temp considerably - i don't have lm-sensors
working again on this box so cannot be certain
the hard disk is now only warm to touch rather that too hot to touch

with this arrangement i can slow the fan down to its minimum speed - so
overall a lot less noisy

now if i could find a pabst fan supplier here in ireland i would be set

thre headers on the EPIA-M9000 that i have
2 three wire (sensor, +12V, GND) CPUFAN and SYSFAN and
1 two wire (+12V, GND) FAN3

so there might be a header - but not a lot of space
