I think one reason for Fedora's popularity over other distros is Jarod 
Wilson's excellent guide. Go to  http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/ and check 
it out. This is a step-by-step guide for starting from scratch and 
building a Mythtv system. It's easy to follow and it works.
