[mythtv-users] nuvexport doesn't transcode entire movie

Question about nuvexport. It seems to not like certain
recordings and just stops 10 to 12 minutes into
transcoding. The 10 to 12 minutes it does looks great,
and nuvexport exits normally, but it doesn't do the
whole movie. Other recordings seem to transcode just
fine.

Am trying to transcode MPEG2 files (from PVR-350) to
XviD. Using Knoppmyth R4V4 (MythTV 0.15 updated to
0.15.1) on a Shuttle SN41G2 (nForce2), 512MB RAM,
AthlonXP 2400+

Things I've tried:

* transcoding to DivX gives same results
* loading or not loading cut list gives same results
* after searching the archives, tried to run nuvexport
with the debug option and exporting SVCD. Tried to run
the resulting command lines, and it wouldn't complete
the first one... something about a missing "fifo"
directory.
* after searching archives, saw something about maybe
upgrading ffmpeg. Tried to apt-get it and all kinds of
dependencies turned up. Got scared and didn't do it.

I'd prefer to use nuvexport rather than transcoding
from within MythTV.

Are there any logs I can load up to see what might be
going on, or any suggestions? Thanks very much.
