[mythtv-users] Using remote for text entries

Hi, I have been wondering about this for some time now and I never asked
the question...

I noticed that it is possible to use the remote to enter text in some
entries (actually there is only one that I found - the custom player
command in MythVideo). In that entry I can press the number keys to
enter not only numbers but also text (by pressing the same key multiple
times).

Most of the other entries do no offer this feature. Would it be
available for the rest of the entries? It would make it a lot easier, at
least for me, since I have to unplug a keyboard from my other machine to
be able to use it with my MythBox
