What about cases like the cooler master atc series with the fold down 
front (thing stereo equipment)?  If the cover was folded up, it would 
block the lcd, and hence the receiver.  Also, what about the case where 
your pc is on the very bottom, in the back of your entertainment 
center?  You'd have to point your remote right at the case to get it to 
work.
