[mythtv-users] Looking for help with a playback error

Hi,

I hope someone can help with this problem.

During playback, I lose the sound and the video appears to speed up. 
The playback recovers after a few seconds with the following message on 
the console:
"<date> <time> prebuffering pause".

This happens on average 6 times every 10 minutes.

Can someone point me to what is going wrong?

Some (possibly) helpful points:

I do not have DirectFB support compiled in (it wouldn't compile when it 
was included in 'settings.pro').

I do not have XvMC support compiled in.

I am running a Gentoo system on a 1.8GHz Pentium 4.  I use a Geforce 4 
MX440 for TV out.

The relevant logs from 'mythbackend' are:

Audiostream: Layer: 1  BRate: 128 kb/s  Freq: 0.0 kHz

My CPU is running at about 29% during playback through the 
'mythfrontend' process.
