[mythtv-users] Mythvideo/IMDB script not working [Bump]

I've had a similar error from MythVideo as originally described but 
I've had no problem running imdb.pl from the command line (I'm in the 
UK too).  I *know* it's a question of getting MythTV to pick up the 
http_proxy variable set in /etc/profile but am at my wit's end to do 
it.  Whilst this not unrelated thread is going, can anyone point me in 
the right direction.
