PVR 350 - SCART/Audio - was Re: [mythtv-users] PVR-350: audio without patch cable

I'm just getting going and I too noticed the SCART flying jack lead
seems useless.
Is it miswired? (my multimeter is broken so I can't check - it certainly
doesn't seem to output audio)

Does anyone know what the flying jack on the (I think 'PAL/EU version'
of the PVR350) SCART lead is for?

FWIW, I don't use the tuner. I feed the s-video and audio from my UK Sky
satellite box into the 350's s-video/audio inputs. I then feed the scart
output into a scart splitter. One side of the splitter then feeds the
scart into the TV, the other has a scart->s-video+phono. I take the
phono from here and feed it back into the mic of my soundcard and from
there via line-out into my amp.
Not exactly a clean path!!!

(I'll probably revert to the S-video wire when I get an S-video cable
sometime this week)

PS MythTV is pretty cool! Lots of work to get it going but well worth it!
