I went through a few iterations of my XF86Config for one. Originally I
had some nasty issues if overscan was enabled but not set to 1.0 (after
having done a new bare metal install). In terms of filters I'm using
none at all, though I *might* have deinterlace output on. I do have A/V
sync, and jitter reduction on. I'm using the onboard Geforce 4 on both
my systems (Chaintech 7NIF2 and LeadTek K7NCR18G-Pro) with the 4363
Nvidia drivers. The only xv controls I've used is on the LeadTek board
to correct a red shift. I do NOT use Twinview (nor do I have a monitor
plugged in) and run at 800x600.

On the capture side, I'm using a PVR250 with dnr_mode/temporal/spacial
all set to 0.My "Live TV" profile is set to 352x480 3500 min 7000 max
bitrate.
