It is definitely quieter than the pair of 80GB drives I initially had in there
(RAID striped). Juxtaposed to most of my machines, this Myth box is very
quiet, but of course, that evaluation is subjective. It isn't a problem for
me at all, but I'm used to much louder hums all day at work (and in my home
office). And the room I have it in is fairly large, with the couch a good 25
ft from the computer, but at that range, I don't ever notice *any* noise from
the box. Its quiet enough for me, and the capacity and price were ideal.
