Before i start, let me just say ' I think i've tried everything.'
Really. I've spent 2 weeks on this problem and rebuilt every thing from QT to
Nvidia drivers. And still....

...I cant play back videos via mythvideo. The playback slows down as soon as
I play it. After 5 seconds the audio becomes choppy. When I say 'slows down'
I really mean s-l-o-w-i-n-g d-o-w-n audio and video. (divx5 with mp3 and AC3
soundtracks alike - have not tried other formats now I come to think of it.)

Note i cant test mythTV TV playback at the moment as my TV card broke. Just
using Mythvideo as a playback device right now.

I have Suse 9.0 on a Shuttle SS51 with Geforece4 ti4200, 4363 drivers (i've
tried default and latest too), onboard sound and modified QT3 as built by
'~oeysteio' (Thanks - your packages saved me a lot of hassle re-building QT3)
Xine works fine and xmms works well via oss and alsa. ARTS is turned off.

I've now added a soundblaster live (some others noted a difference after
disgarding on-board sound) and it made no difference.

I've search the forums up and don but cant find anyone with the same problem.

--verbose playback gives this. (note the regular 19.99 fps which to me sounds
like something is deliberately slowing down to 20 fps.) CPU util is 10%.

Has anyone got any ideas where I should look next? Am I being totally stupid -
is there a config file which might say 'local fps - 20' or similar?

Any pointers gratefuly received.

Steve.
