Please help,

I am having trouble getting mplayer to play anything from mythvideo

I have setup a gentoo EPIA-M10000 following guide at alterself.com
Including XFree86 4.399 from alterself.com

Trying to play both dvd's and mpeg4 files I get mplayer output like the following:
-----

and it hangs right there. Also I know this video file is fine it was made with mythdvd rip on another box and plays fine on that under mplayer

On my TV mythtvvideo is still visible and says "Loading..." and in the upper left it says the word mplayer and nothing happens, no sounds no video.

This is using the default mplayer arg in mythvideo and trying several other variations and different output modes like x11 instead of xv.

Everything else on the system works great including the M179 with ivtv.

What mplayer args are people using in mythvideo or are you using something other than mplayer with mythvideo on gentoo? I am particularly interested in those also using gentoo and alterself.com type setup. Thanks!

I also have tried both mplayer-0.92 and mplayer-1.0_pre3
