I see, thanks for the good explanation on the horizontal resolutions.
I will try different horizontal settings and see what they look like.
I tend to be quite sensitive to picture quality, but I expect that
I'll be able to drop it down from 720 to something less.
I've now actually got 720x576 working. I had to explicitly issue the
following test_ioctl calls from a script, after loading the ivtv
driver.
# /usr/bin/test_ioctl -u 0xff
# /usr/bin/test_ioctl -p 4
# /usr/bin/test_ioctl -f width=720,height=576
# /usr/bin/test_ioctl -v input=7,output=1
Putting these as post-install lines in modules.conf wasn't working for
some reason.
