I said "that answer is correct, for the most part", because I know it'll work 
if you recompile a kernel. But if you recompiled the kernel, then you're not 
running the Fedora Core 2 kernel. When I say "the Fedora Core 2 kernel", I 
mean the Fedora Core 2 kernel, exactly as configured and shipped by Red Hat, 
installed from their pre-compiled rpms.

Now THAT is not entirely correct. MythTV takes advantage of the video 
acceleration features in the nvidia driver, so cpu usage is MUCH lower with 
the nvidia driver than the nv driver, because all Xv rendering has to be done 
in software rather than hardware. If your machine is fast enough, you may not 
notice, but there most definitely is a difference. People with slower systems 
will certainly notice.
