[mythtv-users] MythTV upgrade to .15 wget and libcom_err.so.3

I am hoping someone could help me here.

I need to upgrade to MythTV .15 before my schedule runs out.

I have setup a DirectData account. Before I upgrade MythTV from .14 to
.15 I need to upgrade wget 


When I try to upgrade via apt-get I get the following....


# apt-get install wget
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.

  wget: Depends: libcom_err.so.3 but it is not installable

Before I ran apt-get install wget I ran an apt-get update and an
upgrade.

Previous posts have said that downloading the RPM will break apt. Will
downloading the source and trying to compile it have the same effect?
