[mythtv-users] Aussie Specific - Commmercial Detection and Recording from the EPG

So, I have a Myth box that I would say is in a state of 'Testing'.  I
can view live TV, though it is choppy and I can record shows etc etc. 
I think this is great, and I am almost ready for the unveiling of my
mystery PC to my family.

Two things I have noticed in my testing so far:

1) Commercial detection is not so good in Australia.  

2) I was recording Rove Live last night and as per normal he ran
overtime, which is a common occurrance for shows on Network Ten.

What do you fellow Aussies find the best setting for commercial
detection and do you have a recommended amount of time to record extra
on the end of shows?
