[mythtv-users] No output from dvbstream

 System:

Generic Motherboard with KT266A chipset
Duron 750Mhz, 512MB DDR RAM
Hauppauge Nova-T tuner
ATI RageProLT AGP
Fedora Core 2 (2.6.8 kernel) with MythTV 0.16 (built with Jarods guide
and Atrpms).

I finally got MythTV working perfectly over the weekend and decided to
move the box to the main TV of the house. It didn't work there because I
couldn't get the wireless network connection working (another story, now
fixed).

However since I moved it back to my study, live tv has not worked, shows
recorded prior to the moving the box are fine.

I've retraced my steps, I used the guide here:
http://www.ethics-gradient.net/myth/mythdvb.html

and I can get a lock on the dvb signal with tzap :

tzap "BBC ONE Scot"
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
tuning to 634166670 Hz
video pid 0x00c9, audio pid 0x00ca
status 0d | signal 3434 | snr d1d1 | ber 0000010a | unc 00000000 |
status 1f | signal 3434 | snr e8e8 | ber 00000108 | unc 00000007 |
FE_HAS_LOCK
etc, etc,

where it first fails is with dvbstream and mplayer:

dvbstream -c 0 -o -ps -qam 16 -cr 3_4 201 202 | mplayer -

(I've double checked the parameters are correct).

Am I write in saying that if I redirect the output of dvbstream to a
file I should not get a 0 byte file? I'm trying to eliminate mplayer as
the problem.

Previous to the move I had to set PCI latency to 0x80 to get it working
and I've made sure it's set again with 'lspci -v'.

Could anyone give me some pointers to debugging the DVB output, either
with dvbstream or any other tools?

Peter
