I am hitting the same problem.

My NES roms show up in the MythGame game browser, under NES games. I
can browse through the list, but if I try to select a game, nothing
happens.

OTOH, I can successfully run fceu-sdl from the command line to play NES roms.

I am able to successfully play SNES games using snes9x and native
Linux games through the MythGame module.

I would greatly appreciate any tips or suggestions.
