|It would have to be MythTV's job to look for the broadcast flag (which

|smarts/horsepower on the card to parse the stream that fully.
Without access to technical documentation on the chipset I have no way of
knowing if your supposition about its horsepower is correct, but even if you
are correct there is no guarantee of continued operation. The card does not
have to parse the stream. It merely needs to fail in the presense of whatever
*other* changes will accompany the broadcast flag, just as existing set top
boxes are apparently slated to fail. This really isn't such a big trick, and
our friendly content providers are not as stupid as we might like...
