[mythtv-users] Hardware "Survey" (Pundit-R)

i put a 350 in my pundit-r with no problems at all. note the network
card is only working natively from kernel 2.6.8 or something (i'm
using 2.6.9).

i had a bit of trouble with my initial setups, and tuning my 350, but
finally got it sorted. the onboard svideo out (on the mobo) requires
the ati 3.12 driver with a couple of hex edited values - a no brainer
really.

using the tv out on the mobo coupled with live tv i found i got a very
slow framerate, pretty unwatchable really, but playing from
/dev/video0 with mplayer it was fine.

i'm piping hte sound from the 350 into the line in, and it works
perfectly, and now have video coming out of the hardware decoder
(/dev/video16), however i've found the screen is a little oversize.
specifically, the picture is hanging out the top, left and bottom
sides of the screen, with a little blue line on the right hand side.
something i've got to go and tweak now...

the pundit-r i think is a pretty good machine, quiet fer sure.. it
will be replacing my video and dvd players once perfected..

good luck with it, its a cool project.. :-)
