I had much the same issue, and finally figured out that MythMuisc
doesn't like Alsa just yet. No big deal. You can point it at /dev/dsp or
/dev/adsp to get the sound output and that seems to work just fine. If
you don't have /dev/adsp (which is the digital output for soundcards
that support that), google for "chmod adsp" and "alsa adsp" for more
information. Quickly though, you just "mknod /dev/adsp c 14 12", chmod
it to something useful (or add that to the mknod), and then add the line
"options snd-pcm-oss adsp_map=2". Then just pick /dev/adsp for mythmusic.
