[mythtv-users] Strating automatic transcoding

	Hi, I have very happily been using MythTV for more the six months now
and I really love it! Thanks for all the hard work!!

	However, ever since I upgraded to 0.16 (using the apt-get method), all
my recordings are not automatically transcoded and are left in MPEG-2
format (which takes up significantly more space). I have checked and
double checked the 'Automatically transocde' setting in the recording
profiles and they are all set. This is also proven by the fact that I
have many entries in the 'transcoding' table in the database:

	I am not sure what the status indicates but none of those shows are
actually ever transcoded. I am not sure how to check whether
mythtranscode is even started since I can't find a log. I also can't
find any core files, which leads me to the thought that mythtranscode is
not even been started.

	I would appreciate any help in this! I know that this has been asked
before on the list but there have been no replies and I just can't
believe that no-one knows what is going on or what to check for!!
