[mythtv-users] strange "Error writing stringlist"

I'm still having trouble getting 0.15.1 to work on my Gentoo system. I
managed to configure my DVB-c card etc., but now it's mythfrontend
that kills off mythbackend.

Here's the backend logfile:

This continues, if I don't kill it off with CTRL-C. Afterwards, the
backend dies and I have to reboot, because the Gentoo startup script
(/etc/init.d/mythbackend) doesn't handle stray pid-files in /var/run
too well.

Any hints on how to track down the problem?
