[mythtv-users] OT: 7NIF2 and serial ports

I am just waiting on getting all my computer parts in the mail to
build my Mythtv system.  I will be using the Chaintech 7NIF2
motherboard.  I would like to drive my DirecTV receiver via the low
speed data serial port.  Under the internal I/O connections, Newegg
lists two 5x2 pin Serial ports with housing (COM1 & COM2).  What are
these?  Do I need some sort of adapter to use these ports? Are they
included?
