Hi Mike,
I had the same problem, and it wasn't actually the DVB signal (I get
good signal strength too). For me, tweaking a BIOS setting fixed it -
on my VIA chipset I had to set option 'Delay PCI Transaction' to
enabled. You milage may vary....
