Yes

My Myth box has a PVR350 and a vga out

The PVR drives the TV and the VGA drives the projector.
I also have a DVD player driving the projector via s-video (which was 
actually indistinguishable from component on my setup)

The VGA trounces it.

It's bloody marvellous!!!
