That's what has me worried... unless it's an Athlon thing (mythbox is
PIII). I know that some programs are a bit of a memory hog:
15530 papenfus 15 0 404m 161m 137m S 0.0 15.9 5:26.69 1 MATLAB
  1640 root 15 0 321m 139m 104m S 1.0 13.8 384:53.43 0 X
  2637 papenfus 15 0 101m 63m 29m S 0.0 6.3 11:59.81 0 firefox-bin
23795 papenfus 16 0 221m 38m 45m S 0.0 3.8 0:00.60 1 java_vm
  9353 papenfus 15 0 337m 19m 132m S 0.0 1.9 0:13.88 1 MATLAB
10426 papenfus 15 0 21168 11m 9096 S 0.0 1.1 2:18.55 1 xemacs
  8316 aweil 16 0 24156 8464 6988 S 0.0 0.8 0:31.65 1 w3m

... but even going to single-user and back doesn't clear up the mystery
memory... Maybe I'll try UP kernel. Naw... I'll try FC2 on the dual-PIII
offline and see if it blows.

I did look through the fedora-test-users for 'smp memory leak' and
things of that nature, but no joy.

BTW, sorry about the semi-OT here... it's really a preemptive 'mythtv
might break if I do this' kinda thing that's not really myth related at all.
