The PVR-250 has a hardware encoding chip, that card doesn't. Its just a basic 
v4l card, which will (probably) work, but you'll have to encode all video 
w/your CPU. It also appears to only have mono sound. Personally, I wouldn't 
touch it, none of the (several) non-PVR-x50 cards I've used are as good as a 
PVR-x50 in picture quality (well, 'cept my pcHDTV card ;-), plus the CPU 
usage issue.
