try SlimServer.  Uses perl & can run on any OS.

The squeeze box is impressive too.

I work with a guy who has one hard-wired & two wifi squeeze boxes 
playing the same stream at his house.  You can stream it thru any socket 
I believe (hint: port forwarded ssh).
