Greetings,

I own a PVR350 now for a while and failed to get it working (completly)
under Suse Linux 9.1.

I searched the net and this list and found some hints, but none helped.
So I hope here are lucky ones who could help me.

My problem so far.
I am able to record a stream using "cat /dev/video0 >/work/temp.mpg". If
I abbort this after a few seconds, I am able to watch a movie with
"snow" using Kaffeine.
The remote control also seems to work. If I press a number button (0-9)
on the remote, the number apear in the terminal.
But I am unable to get any output signal. No video, and no audio.
Using Windows all is fine, so I think the card is Ok.

I have hooked up a video monitor to the VIDEO output of the pvr350.
I set the output to SVIDEO and VIDEO using the command "ivtvctl -l 0"

In an earlier install (with an other version of ivtv) I saw the test
screen with the colored bars on it.

If I made a "dmesg |grep ivtv" I see a few things confusing me, but I am
no expert in such things (The whole output plus a few lines is at the
end of the post)
1) "saa7127: Unknown parameter `enable_output'"
2) "ivtv: unsupported module, tainting kernel.", is this a normal
message ?
3) "ivtv: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found!"

I am using "ivtv-0.1.10-pre2-ck111w" from
"http://67.18.1.101/~ckennedy/ivtv" and it compiles fine. Only a few
warnings of unused variables, which should be no problem and one warning
at the beginning of the compile "WARNING: Symbol version dump
/usr/src/linux-2.6.5-7.108-obj/i386/default/Module.symvers is missing,
modules will have CONFIG_MODVERSIONS disabled."

I hope somone could help me to get it running.

Thanks a lot Juergen
